Fine Art Prints — Everything You Need to Know

Every fine art print begins as an original oil painting made by Theo Michael in his studio in Larnaca, Cyprus. The print is produced locally on 310gsm Pura Velvet archival paper using a 12-colour pigment ink process — the same standard used by galleries and fine art publishers. Each one is individually checked before it leaves the studio.

Then Theo signs it.

That signature is not a formality. It is Theo's confirmation that this specific print meets his standard and that it is authorised by him. A dated certificate of authenticity is included with every order.

310gsm Pura Velvet archival paper


Pura Velvet is a heavyweight fine art paper with a subtly textured surface that gives prints a depth and richness that standard photo paper cannot match. It is dimensionally stable, has an exceptional ink load capacity, and has been approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild. The 12-colour archival pigment ink process guarantees colour accuracy and, provided the print is kept out of direct sunlight, is rated to last more than one hundred years.

Available sizes

Theo's original oil paintings are typically painted at 60 x 80cm or 60 x 90cm. The fine art prints are scaled from these originals, which means the exact dimensions vary slightly depending on the painting. Both sizes are designed to fit standard off-the-shelf frames.

Small:

  • 29.5 x 40cm (11.6 x 15.7") — from paintings in the 60 x 80cm format
  • 29.5 x 42cm (11.6 x 16.5") — from paintings in the 60 x 90cm format

Large:

  • 42 x 56cm (16.5 x 22.0") — from paintings in the 60 x 80cm format
  • 42 x 59cm (16.5 x 23.2") — from paintings in the 60 x 90cm format

Packaging & delivery

Your fine art print is sent rolled in a rigid tube, securely packaged for transit. It will arrive ready to be framed. We recommend a white or natural wood frame with a white mount to give the image space to breathe — both sizes are designed to fit standard frames available from most framing suppliers. If you are unsure which frame to choose, contact us and we are happy to advise.

Add a personal message

Theo can add a personal dedication to your print — on the front, the back, or on a separate card enclosed with the order. This is offered at no extra charge and makes the print a particularly personal gift. Leave a note at checkout with your instructions, or contact us if you would like to discuss what you have in mind.

Certificate of authenticity

Every fine art print is accompanied by a dated certificate of authenticity, hand signed by Theo Michael. The certificate confirms the title of the work, the print format, and that this copy has been personally authorised by the artist.
