London Prints & Iconic Cities
Fine Art Prints by Theo Michael
Paintings of London and other major cities
London made Theo a painter. He lived there for years, and it was in the city, in a flat in Swiss Cottage, in front of a reproduction of Edward Hopper's Nighthawks, that something first clicked.
In 2004 he visited the Hopper retrospective at Tate Modern, and left knowing he was going to paint full time. It wasn't just the technical mastery that spoke to him. It was the atmosphere, the noir, the sense that ordinary urban scenes could carry enormous emotional weight.
London has been part of his visual language ever since. The wet pavements, the red buses, the figures moving through the city each absorbed in their own story. These are paintings by someone who knows the city not as a tourist but as a resident, someone who once stood on these streets and looked at them the way a painter looks at things.
This collection brings together paintings of London and other cities that have caught Theo's eye — street scenes, architecture, moments of quiet drama in urban spaces.
Each fine art print on archival paper is individually hand signed by Theo Michael in the studio in Larnaca — a small mark that makes it entirely his, and entirely yours.
Canvas prints are produced and shipped by our print partner to ensure the highest quality reproduction. They are not hand signed.

The story behind the print
This London landmark painting features the magnificent Big Ben looming across the urban skyline. In the painting the enormous clock tower hovers in the background, contrasting the painting with a sense of perspective as an assortment of passers by make their way along the wet pavement. An elegant office worker rides her bicycle in the rain and Theo’s signature private eye is smoking a cigarette in front of an old telephone box. Two double decker buses are gliding down the street towards Trafalgar Square on a typically busy day in the capital of Great Britain.
''I like a lot all of your paintings as they look vintage and they make you travel back time, at a place and time where lets say I wish I could have lived and experienced.
With your paintings you achieve to bring into live that old times and make the viewer believe that is present and experiencing the moment captured in the painting.
They are considered as Romantic paintings with a drop of a daily "routine".
Generally, I adore your paintings!''
